I've been building a web site using
Wordpress 3.7.1 for a client. She uses galleries inside the posts to show some photos, and she wanted the title of each image be shown as
image title when hovering the mouse over the images.
Wordpress does not insert it, so I had to dig into it. After some research,
I found a post in the Ideas section of Wordpress forums, pointing to create a function and then using it.
Well, this is what I did, and it worked:
1. You need to create a funtions.php inside your child theme if you don't have it yet and attach that function inside it:

2. Then, you need to disable the gallery shortcode Wordpress is using and enable your own version of it:

3. Finally, copy from wp-includes/media.php the gallery_shortcode function, rename it and edit it:
